Title: Dropbox Plugin - wit VM mass updater
Post by: Cr3ativ3 on January 06, 2014, 17:01:35 PM
OK, i seem to have a bit of a major problem with the plugin, maybe you can help? I hope so!

I have VM Mass Updater and VM Bulk Editor installed on one of my client websites with which i am also using the fantastic Dropbox Plugin, now the problem.

When i select products to bulk assign my Dropbox applied custom fields.....they do not assign to other products and this problem is happening in BOTH of my bulk assignment components!

Any advice is welcome as a solution to this renders the plugin useless for anyone wishing to bulk assign using major Bulk Attribute/Custom Field assignment components, a pretty heavy downside to an awesome plugin that really should be part of VM2 itself.

Thank you for your time and efforts in advance!

You should talk to the developers of VM bulk

I have resolved issue with VM Mass Update, that's my fault not understanding how it deals with custom fields, you create them within the Ajax interface and global assign, it does not load pre configured Fields/Attributes which in itself is a bit of an arse.

The VM Bulk Editor should load the pre configured fields but if they are created with Dropbox they will not show so you can assign them, i tried with test fields and they load fine and can be assigned easy enough.

Just worth noting for anyone wishing to use this plugin and thinking about bulk assignment components.

Still a great plugin although after using Globacides component i would not use anything else for global product management, it's phenominal. Dropbox will be an invaluable tool for creating unique pproduct options though.

Thanks for the help here, as always a great community here and an invaluable resource to Virtuemart, lets hope by VM4.0 we will have a system that offers the solutions found by the community as standard.
