Title: Solution for: TCPDF ERROR: [Image] Unable to get image
Post by: lanthan on July 30, 2013, 21:50:17 PM
Hi,
as me and many people seem to have the TCPDF ERROR and can not produce .pdf invoices with images added under the invoices menu (shop -> invoices). I share my solution with you. This error could occur if you have your Joomla installation not in the root of your webserver and redirect to a subfolder. For e.g. www.website.com redirects on your webserver to www.website.com/joomla/...

Just type the complete (not redirected) link for your image you want to add in the head or footer (insert image).

www.website.com/images/stories/virtuemart/vendor/image.jpg and not only image/stories/virtuemart/vendor/image.jpg

You won´t see the image anymore in the head or footer (image can´t be found) but it works with your .pdf.

Hope this helps some of you.

Hi,
Same TCPDF Error when generating invoices from Virtuemart 2.6's backend:
TCPDF ERROR: [Image] Unable to get image: http://DOMAIN/images/stories/virtuemart/shipment/logo-colissimo.bmp
The appropriate images are located in 'shipment' folder.
The website is located at the server's root (no sub-folder)

Anyway thank you lanthan for sharing the tip. Also, sorry for my late follow-up with an updated VM's version :}

VirtueMart uses the TCPDF library from http://sourceforge.net/projects/tcpdf/   IIRC this version requires images to be .jpg or .png
