The setup is similar to that for PayPal Standard. The main difference is that instead of a PayPal Email Address your PayPal username,
password and signature are used instead. You can find these values in your PayPal account. There is no need to set an IPN address as
the status of completed orders are automatically changed from pending to completed.
USER (Required) If you set up one or more additional users on the account, this value
is the ID of the user authorized to process transactions. If, however, you have
not set up additional users on the account, USER has the same value as VENDOR.
Limitations: 64 alphanumeric, case-sensitive characters
VENDOR (Required) Your merchant login ID that you created when you registered for the
account.
Limitations: 64 alphanumeric, case-sensitive characters
PARTNER (Required) The ID provided to you by the authorized PayPal Reseller who
registered you for the Gateway gateway. If you purchased your account directly
from PayPal, use PayPal.

PWD (Required) The password that you defined while registering for the account.
Limitations: 6 to 32 alphanumeric, case-sensitive characters

we've been asked many times to create this module, im glad you took the initiative
from my experience a lot of people don't know the difference between standard, advanced and paypalpro
standard :: customers leave your site and pay at paypal
advanced :: payment is actually made at paypal, it shows the paypal hosted checkout in an iframe on your website
pro direct payments :: payment and checkout is on placed on your website and sent to paypal for processing
correct?

PayPal Payments Standard -> No monthly charge
customer leaves the merchants site and pays at PayPal site
PayPal Payments Pro -> PayPal charge $30 per month
The customer stays on the merchants site throughout the payment process.
PayPal Payments Advanced -> PayPal change $5 per month
The customer stays on the merchants site throughout the payment process.
An Iframe provides a window to the payment processor using a secure SSL secure link.
There is no PayPal branding and the customer sees the merchants page throughout the payment process.
I have been doing everything I can to get this paypal advanced plugin to work on my site. When I get it working I will report back on here to let you guys know my thoughts. Right now I have emailed the developer of the paypal advanced plugin for VM and hopefully working on this. I am also using it with linelab OPC which the developer of Paypal Advanced Plugin said would work with linelab.
The Payments Advanced Plugin will work fine with Linelab One Page Checkout, though always ensure you have the latest version.
Version 1.0.2
Improvements to error messaging, also allows the use of extended characters in the PayPal Advanced password.
Version 1.0.3
Small increase in the width of the payment iframe to 570 pixels, to prevent the appearance of a scrollbar of some browsers.
i have this same plugin using Joomla 2.5 Virtuemart 2.0.20b. I installed and configured the plugin added a logo and all going to checkout the button is not clickable. why is that?

The error message on your screenshot indicates that a shipping method has not been selected.
You need to choose a shipping method before you can check out with PayPal Advanced or any other plugin.
PayPal Advanced is now available to Canadian as well as US merchants.
PayPal charge $10 Canadian dollars per month for this service which allows customers to pay by credit card without leaving the merchants site.
The latest plugin is version 1.0.4
Changes include changes to the installation process to make the plugin easier to set up.
yes they don't leave your site, but the checkout is hosted at paypal and loads in a frame, the form is not on your site
PayPal Advanced blends the payment iframe seamlessly in with the merchant's page.
The iframe can not be seen.
The merchant's URL appears at the top of the page.
To the customer it looks like everything is hosted on the merchants site.
The merchant gets the benefits of keeping the customer on their site, while reducing both costs and PCI requirements.
Added cost per transaction, tax and minimum and maximum amount for the calculation of costs associated with this payment method.
