Since VM 2.0.20 (and 2.0.20a) I get the following problem:
1. I choose a child variant of a product (pic child_1) -> correct price is shown
2. Put it into the cart (pic_2) -> still correct price in the cart module
3.On the checkout page the child product gets all of a sudden the parents product price (pic_3)
After downgrading to version 2.0.18c the problem exists no longer.
Joomla 2.5.9

EDIT: May be this helps: When I click on the child product name in the cart I am directed to the parent product.
