hello, is there anyway to limit the amount of products a customer can buy. ie if i only have 5 t-shirt for sale i want the clicker next to the add to cart button to only to as high as 5 ... i have tried everything but it wont change please please please some help ... thanks
are you setting the "maximum purchase quantity"

i have set the max purchase to 5 and the min to 1 but still no good
what about using stock? have you tried that?
yes, anywhere that shows a number with the name product/stock/limit/max/min or anything else iv put to 5 and tried that but the counter still goes past 5. is there a plug-in or some random place or section that might control the counter? or even if i could change the look of the counter maybe i could stumble around until i get it to work? ... any ideas would be great :(

do you have a "custom" virtuemart template?
dont think so i think its the standard one cause its just called VirtueMart
what version vmart are you using?
im using VM2, what i did to 'fix it' is go into the child products and set the stock to 5, and then if the customer buys say 6 of them, a pop up message will appear sayin the max stock is 5 do you wish to proceed? so i suppose this will be fine. thanks for all your help :D
