there seems to be a minor display bug on coupon discount, but I'd like to have other people confirming it.
1. Create e.g. a 10 € discount coupon which only applies for an order amount > 50 €
2. Put e.g. 5 x 15 € product into the cart (total order 75 €)
3. Apply your coupon and you'll get a 10 € discount
4. Update quantity from 5 products to 2 products (total order 30 €)
Result: the 10 € discount is still there
If you proceed to order confirmation, though, the total is recalculated.
Same thing happens if you remove completely your products from cart, browse the shop, and put other products in the cart for an order amount less than the required min amount.

it's VirtueMart 2.0.14 on Joomla 2.5.8

I remember that also ... i test it with 2.0.15c and is still there ...
So, when the order amount changed should trigger coupon also and remove it if does not fit the the amount ...
I am validating this for 2.0.14, 2.0.15

Therefore for me a small cosmetical thing. I think that most time if this happens, people try to tricks the system. I think also this problem is already solved in vm2.1
Haven't solved in 2.1, but a recalculation should take place because the cart module also shows the discounted total
