Title: Custom Userfield Not Showing
Post by: Thomas Kampp on November 28, 2012, 15:27:05 PM
After having migrated to 2.0.14, the custom user field does not show in frontend, even though it is set up correctly in backend. Please see attached pictures.

Please note that the field title shows but the input field does not show.

What can the problem be?

Can anyone explain this bug in Virtuemart, or how to fix it?

Hi,

In my case i use successfully translation keys for that. Create a key using joomla language overrides, take a look on the shots for my example of vat number. Example using 2.0.14
btw, is not a bug ...

Regards

I don't get it? I have everything filled in the same way as you do.
But as my picture shows, there is not a form field that can be filled in in frontend? This is shown with the red circle on my picture.

Do you use for custom title a translation key?

The field is one of the original extra 5 fields. I have only translated the title as it is meant to be.

I don't see how the translation is relevant?

The solution was to NOT use one of the (old) default 5 extra fields. So by creating the field from new, moving things from one column in the database to the other, the problem was fixed.
