I am having an issue with child categories not linking. I have a top level category with child categories which I wish to display so as to prompt visitors into deciding what they want there product for. However the child categories do not have any working links, when I click on them I get sent to the top level category, essentially a page refresh. Here are the 2 top level categories that are not working

Products can only be in on of the child categories that fall under style, but a product can appear in multiple child categories under shop by occasion, not sure if this causes any problems with this.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as this is one of 3-4 things I need to complete before sending this site live.
