I am unable to upload to VM2.0.10 from the control panel. Every time I try to update I get the error below:
QuoteInternal Server Error

Please contact the server administrator, root@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

Hi scubasteve21,
You seem to have some javascript conflict which is killing your ability to add items to the cart.
If you are using a theme, try switching to the default theme and testing.
I am using an add-on theme from JoomShine, but surely that shouldn't be an issue? I have tested the shop with the default atomic theme and items are adding to the cart.
So how is this fixed? I can't change my theme so where do I go from here?
Hello,
I try to access your shop but is down for maintenance. Have you tried first of all with NO overrides with the default vm theme and joomla breez if the cart functionality is working proper? May be after all is a template issue (js conflict as ivus told) or any modules or plugin that uses js.
It is back up now, I was just trying the above suggestion and took it off line while I changed the theme
See attached image...

it might possibly be the problem.

If it is the theme that is causing the conflict, how can I have the shop alone running off a different theme? As there is no way I am going to change my theme after all the work I have put in to it.
Switch the template for the shop menu, by using the Joomla Template manager.
Just assign the default BEEZ template for the time being.
Hi,
As ivus told's you is a javascript conflict. Could you please verify the options you have select under Configuration-Templates-> Activate Css Styles & Javascripts? Use the vm jquery.
You use that template javascript /templates/jsn_epic_pro/js/jsn_jquery_no_conflict.js and you cache them here: /tmp/jsn_epic_pro_js_eba14386ae93b8d4c1a0b3b2ecc12215.js
So Could you please disable the cache?? I think this will fix your problem.

Looking at the global configuration panel > system. It has the cache as 'OFF - caching disabled'
Hello,
I think your template you use have some cache options ... you should ask your template provicer, check for cache, compress settings and post back.
Just waiting on a reply from the theme provider.
In the meantime, how can I just have my shop use a different template and not the rest of my site?
Hello,
You can use vm default theme with no overrides. But i think that your joomla template generates that cache options and conflict with js.
In the mean time, when I log in to the control panel I get the following message:
QuoteWarning, the Safe Path is not accessible (does not exist or no permission), for safety reasons it is very important to create a folder in a path not accessible by an URL, create also a folder invoices in it to store your sensitive data secure. Our suggested path is for your system user/vmfiles
Can anyone advise me how to resolve this problem? I am only going to be using PayPal so will not need a secure URL (at the moment)
Hello,
for safepath take a look over here: http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=98633.msg325409#msg325409
and here: http://www.ostraining.com/blog/joomla/how-to-fix-virtuemart-warning-the-safe-path-is-empty/
Thanks. Someone has just pointed out that my prices aren't showing on the site either? They have been added to each product though when I was creating them.
Hello,
didn't understand you correctly. If you have other issues will be better to start a new thread and give some more information regarding the issue.
