i need the possibility to choose between float and int for product-quantity and enable/disable this configuration in product-backend (shop sells piece-goods and cut-goods). The cut-goods should be able to be counted in floats, also regarding all dependencies such as availability, ... .

Believe me, you dont need that.
Assume you have planks 2 meters, what you do with a guy who want 4 times 1.80 meters? The amount is not the unit, even it has sometimes the factor 1

nobody there buy cut-goods for cloth buy 4 times 1,8 meter ... . But the important feature, i need is: discount down, because we have 500 cut-goods and do not want check all everytime what is in stock or not ... . The discount down is a important thing for us.
And the Plugin does not calculate correct, i think.
Do you know a way to change this in Virtuemart 2, that its possibility to choose between float and int for product-quantity and enable/disable this configuration in product-backend without any plugin? In Virtuemart 1 we got the hack.

The plugin is calculating correctly except the inventar and I plan to enhance it so that you can enter an inventory, like 10 meters.

nobody any idea to change the product-quantity into decimal numbers without any plugin and control this in product backend. I think this should be a musst have in a shop system ...

but this is true. You can sse this in other shops, because other shops can do this feature and i think this should have virtuemart, too.
