In the version 2.0.8c is not applyed the rule associated to a category if the category is not published.

This working in the version 2.0.6.

You can try if it happens to you?

Sorry for my bad English..

If I set a calculation rule for a category1 and after that I set this category not published, the calculation rule doesn't work, while in vers. 2.0.6 was all ok.

For example I need to create a not published category for set a discounts of my supplier.

Hi Milbo,

I have make a new site with version 2.0.8d but the rule don't work for all products.

I set a rule for discount of my supplier but it don't work for all products in this category. Why?

Which file contains the error?

The rule is applied from the second product on the page, so for all pages

Strange, for me it works. the file is the product model. I did not load unpublished categories of a product in the FE. But now I load always all categories, so I wonder that you have still the problem.

I have made a new installation for test with joomla 2.5.6a and VM 2.0.8e.

I set only one published category "prova" where there are 2 products:

- prova1         price Euro 10,00
- prova2         price Euro 20,00

I create a new rule with discount 20%

In the image there is the result.

The first product in the left top the rule is not apllied.

Maybe you disabled the rule in the product edit I need be access to understand this.

No the rule is not disabled.

If I delete or disable product called "prova1", the first product will be "prova2".

The rule not apllied on product "prova2".

I repeat: "The first product in the left top the rule is not apllied."

With more products if I click on the second page of category, it's equal. The first product in the second page on left top the rule is not apllied.

I'm using a new pure installation with only joomla 2.5.6a and VM 2.0.8e.

Another way to test this error is change the order of products from ascending to descending, you will see change the price.
