eBay product listing module

Here's one: how about a module that will let you selectively export products to eBay?

eBay has released an API that should ease most of the maintenance concerns with implementing something like this before. If we could select a product for export, determine a few basic things about it (start price, reserve, listing time, etc.) it could pull a lot of the information from the existing database and save us a lot of time.

This would also open up a whole new venue for active merchants.

While we're at it, a few other product marketing areas that would be really easy to add --

Overstock and Froogle, Bizrate, etc. product data feeds.

I would *love* to be able to offer these to customers.

I was discussing this possibility with my Mom for her site.  I also want to add in the ability to pull the UPC information from Amazon and fill in the blanks for the products to make minimal input effort... Which to do first though... Hmm... I didn't know that eBay released an API though... I'll have to look it over and see what I can do with it ;)

I am very intrested in a module that will list ebay items for canadian listings.  would really rock if it worked with othere setups or was flexable enough to do so.  like providing custom feeds and url's that sort of thing.

I definatly like froogle and google base

Be nice that when you select so many listings  to list due to a certain profile that will use a certain template to list.

I would be willing to pay money for this. maybe  someone knows of someone selling a feature like this already.  ?

I really and in the market for something like that and think oscommerce solutions  just don't cut it. (i know there is a german one and some stuff floating around!)

well i am going to go ahead and make this happen.  Although in order to make this work i am going to need idea's.  So let them flow.  If you ever wanted to list to ebay or froogle how do you see it looking.

I want to keep it simple at first with plenty of room for change.

First off has anyone seen the ebay api or any froogle api or worked with it?

I am thinking it should be sort of a mod to VM and possibly use a flypage to generate how this auction will look.  I am going to concentrate on ebay for the moment .

I am familuar with the old phpshop code I have looked a bit on the VM code but really not spent that much time on it.  If I can get it to adding anouther table or more to the database and take advantage of some spare spots in existing products table then this might work out.

I imagine a spot where I click the ebay lister manager  in VM .. then I can look at what catagories  I have and browse them (of my products) and select a selling profile  ( a pre defined template ) then click off a bunch of products using that template.  then edit each one to when they will list.

I am not too sure how to make it list each hour. I am thinking a cron script that runs each hour this way i could send auctions in at a certain hour . gives you control of listing during peek times. this can be changed and mature later to list a ending product every few mins after that sorta thing.

I am not sure if i can just take advantage of a spare feild or what feild to use... I am going to have to go register to go see what they have to offer for api from ebay.

I will host this project and setup a forum if nessary on our servers. And if we can keep it flexable possibly in the future if its clean enough it will be entered into VM core or at least be something that will change with VM.

If if get no intrest in supporting the project i will pay for help and sell it for a bit tell its fairly bug free and then release it back to the  community.. what ever it takes to get this project going and keeping it alive and well I will do.

right now i need to know how it should run i need challenges and ideas

has anyone attempted any thing something to look at for sample code?
