I have moved 3 websites over from another hosting company to GoDaddy and have been struggling to get each site to work for almost 2 weeks.

I am using Joomla 1.5.23 and Virtuemart 1.1.3

First Joomla's buttons would not work, could not create new modules, edit menu items, articles, nothing...so I did a clean install..Joomla works perfect

..then I did a fresh install of virtuemart because just uploading the files via ftp didn't work....and now I can not create new products, the save apply buttons are gone and the layout of virtuemart is not right (I have attached an image)

I feel like this is a GoDaddy issue because everything worked perfect before the move and their support is not helpful...Any thoughts?

There are so many reports of issues with Joomla hosted on Godaddy that makes me believe they cannot be a good choice, especially for an important ecommerce site. Just search Joomla forums for "godaddy" (without the "") and you will see nearly 10,000 matches returned, a lot of people describing problems. We know that some people have no problems there as well, but I'm not sure that all their servers are configured the same way, which does not help.

Just following the roue described in http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=59414.0 should be all you need to get a working site.

For the admin layout issue on Godaddy see http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=86615.0

Please do not PM or Email me with support questions. I look at PMs only once a month. You will get better and faster responses in the support forums.

Current recommended release versions are: Joomla! 1.5.23 :: VirtueMart 1.1.8

URGENT:  Help VirtueMart development by testing  version 1.1.9
