Search in the product type table

Hi mates,

Have anyone got a search plugin which will search product type? I tried product type filtering module but this is not what I need.
I would like that VM or Joomla will search in _vm_product_type table.

You are right people are not here all the time, especially on Friday. I searched this forum for a week, I laso tried to modify v,search plugin but nothign work for me.

Let's hopw very soon some one wil come up with the solution. I t should be very easy one when you know:)

It seems like if nobody has done this, you are wanting something very different.

WHY, dont you create a menu for all product types?

You can always also link to the advanced search

Thanks for your last post. It gave me new idea about search in product types.

I have discovered that if I in VM administrator console (Product type configuration) write Browse page name, on this page index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&Itemid=65&product_type_id=1 types dropdown lists dissaprear. This is very good but then it won't search for correct product, for ex. if I search fro 45.454 it will find product which value is not equql to 45.454

If in VM administration (product type) don't write Browsepage name in the search module I will see all dropdown boxes (I don't want them), so I have to choose types from the list and then it will find correct products.

Maybe I should configure (or create a new) browsepage, and in the browsepage write {product_type_x} for instance so it it only look in that table?
