Does anyone know why Virtuemart is not listed as an extension?

one of the 1.1.7 files had a vulnerability

ps_module

There is a fix for it already
BUT it will not get back on JED until 1.1.8 comes out I think.

I recommend you check VirtueMart news regularly, but even more important is to subscribe to VirtueMart security bulletins, where the update patch was announced. http://virtuemart.net/security-bulletins/396-vm-security-bulletin-2011-02-18
