Any way that on the front end for site users I can change the name of child products to that of their parent product's name.

Example

Parent product name is "Product 1"

Child products are named "Child Product 1"
Child products are named "Child Product 2"
Child products are named "Child Product 3"

Change the addtocart_list_multi.tpl.php and other files to show the child product's names to "Product 1".

Also wound need to make sure that Parent products name shows up this way in any place a site user could see the product (cart, checkout pages, order pages in account section, admin section order pages, all invoice pages, any others im not thinking of).

On the back end, everything remains the same as far as naming.

Why not name the child products the same as the parent? I have a client who did that, and added attributes for the child products (the only real difference between the products was the size).

Unfortunately I would like to submit my products to "Google Shopping" so Products named "T-Shirt" wont optimize as well as "T-Shirt Black XL". So again does anybody know what the code would be to pull in the parent product name instead of the name of the child product?

I would like to know this too. In case anyone is wondering why in case the end does not justify the cause:

We sell Albums, so...

Parent: Dark Side of the Moon
Child 1: Buy CD
Child 2: Buy MP3

It would be not look good in the cart for the item to be called "Buy CD" nor would would it look good on the product details page for:

Dark Side of the Moon
Dark Side of the Moon CD (ADD TO CART)
Dark Side of the Moon MP3(ADD TO CART)
