I have read a lot of topics about this and could not reach a conclusion about it. We started our website on Godaddy servers but they are like nightmare. The representatives responsible for the hosting do not know anything at all. We are experiencing a lot of performance issues (not related with the content, very small content, tested by YSlow, tools on joomlaperformance.com). MySql tables and queries are also optimized according to several topics about query optimization in this forum.

After optimization of queries it performed better for sure but it is again awful even with the improvements. In addition to these, on shared hosting plan, they do not provide some valuable information such as information on query performances (logs of queries taking too much time-actually using lots of resources) and etc. I know on the shared hosting, the performance will not be as good as on the dedicated one. But I am again saying that we do not have more than 100 products for now.

I would like to test my site on a different hosting but I do not know where to start. A subscription of one month is enough for me to see if things are better on the other hosts. If it is better, I can prove that Godaddy really sucks (although I know it sucks, I have to prove it to their representatives)

I really appreciate if you can suggest me another hosting that provides really good and informative services.

Thanks a lot, I migrated my website form godaddy to bluehost.

They have really good service, nice representatives (not like godaddy's) and my site is really fast now.

Yep, made a huge diff for me as well. GoDaddy just gave the run-around. Bluehost just works.

I personally LOVE siteground hosting! They are a joomla preferred hosting company and I have had them for 3 years with no issues. Every freelance website that I have done has been with them, no client complaints. I have never used blue host but have heard good things.

NEVER use GoDaddy for joomla/ virtuemart hosting they are only good for cheap domain names. I wouldn't recommend Media Temple either.
