Adding an extra charge for small quantities

Hi everyone,

I have a problem configuring (or programming) Virtuemart. My Boss wants an extra charge for small quantities (or markup for small-volume purchases - I don't know the exact term in English). Example: If someone's order amount is less than 100$, he has to pay 10$ more.

My goal is an extra position for this markup in the basket like shipping costs or taxes.

I am a little pressed for time and Virtuemart is a bit to complex for me to work out in time, how the shipping costs are added to the total amount, so I can do it the same way. I hope you can help me to figure out which files I have to edit. Thank you!

(I'm using Joomla 1.5.10 and Virtuemart 1.1.3. Sorry, I posted this thread in a wrong foum. Maybe someone can put in the right one)
