I'm trying to set up a paypal module for two days already. Found lots of hacks, solutions and desperate messages here on the forum but did not manage to make it work so far.

My question is simple - IS IT WORKING OR WHAT ?

Please, people, just tell me - should I keep trying or simply use a different module/payment option ?

I run Paypal on one of my sites and it is working fine, just take care to get the settings right and please do read the posts about Paypal to avoid others mistakes (which I think you've already done).

Except for the configuration, did you modify any PHP code ? Most of the posts here are somewhat outdated and it is not clear to me whether it is relevant to the recent version.
