Shipping displayed in cart as products are added

Hi,

I've looking to have a standard rate of shipping added to the cart as products are added. www.maplin.co.uk does this, you'll see from the screen shot below I've added an item of value £29.99 and their standard delivery of £2.99 is displayed automatically without logging in, signing up or entering a delivery address.

I like shipping fees shown up front with the user having enter additional information to get an idea of costs.

When products are added we would like Standard UK shipping shown as that's where the majority of our customers are based. If they then enter a delivery address and it's out side the uk they would be different the applicable rates.

I've tried switching the checkout procedure in administration to have shipping method before shipping address but I receive an error which seems to relate to the fact you're trying to select a shipping method without entering a country.

Any advice would be greatfully recived.
