I setup a test Joomla site specifically to test:

Community Builder (CB)1.2.1
Joomla 1.5.14
and
Virtuemart 1.1.3

I did find a plug-in at the Joomla Developer's site by e-motion design that was published on 2008-09-02. This update states that the current compatibilty is with the following platforms.

Joomla 1.5.6
Virtuemart 1.1.2
Community Builder 1.1

The files that are included in this Zip folder are plu_virtuemart.zip which I installed through the Community Builder -> Plug In Manager -> Install/Uninstall
and
mod_cb_sync.zip which I installed through Administrator -> Extensions -> Install/Uninstall

I ensure that all Plug-ins and Modules are published.  Then when I visit the 'Tab Manager' in the Community Builder I recieve 'Internal Server error 500"

I have spent hours working at a resolution on this.  Please help.

Is it because I have the most recent platforms and there is no integration for them yet.  Please help with resolution or work-around.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

A forum search would have revealed that there is a long thread here about CB integration. I suggest you look there.
