I changed to pages in the admin that require https and now everytime I go to the admin in the backend it redirects me to the frontend. Thus I can not change it back. Is the a config file or database entry so that i can change this back? I am locked out.

I think you should have a look at the configuration.php file which resides in your Joomla root directory.
Either that or the VM config file which is in //administrator/components/com_virtuemart/virtuemart.cfg.php
