Cant get standard shipping to work

I had tax set to none-0-, but when I changed the tax to one I created with a percentage of 0% it now shows all of my flat rates. this worked for me. give it a try and tell us if it works for you.

Ok, i think i've sussed this out (well it seems to of worked for me ;))

The problem was that even though i was setting shipping rates when i was going through the checkout process i wasn't getting any options for shipping using the standard shipping module.

I've been pulling my hair out for hours and searching forums until it finally struck me to turn on the DEBUG mode (located under admin>configuration). I did this and then went through the checkout procedure again.

As i was doing this i noticed that virtuemart was finding my shopper location as the US (i'm working on MAMP and localhost) even though i'm in the UK, finally the penny dropped that the shipping rate was configured for UK shoppers only, when i went back into the shipping rate setup and added the US to the "country" panel, VIOLA!!! shipping rates showing up in the checkout process!!!

I'm gonna carry on playing around to make sure this is the solution but i hope it's a step in the right direction for you all!!

Your US solution worked for me and will do as a stopgap solution.
