I have seen where many people are having issues with Authorize.net and VM.  Some are able to get it working in a matter of minutes and other, like myself cannot get it to work at all.

I followed these directions, step-by-step:
http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=14844

I have searched the forum for days try every trick and fix I could find but have not been able to get AN to work.

When someone submits and order they receive this error:

Error: Failure in Processing the Payment (ps_authorize)

Here is the log:

 - Connection opened to secure.authorize.net
 - Now posting the variables.
 - Beginning to analyse the response from secure.authorize.net
 - Failure in Processing the Payment (ps_authorize)

Like I've mentioned, I've been all over the forum looking for answers but have not found anything.  The API and transaction key are correct.

Any idea where/why the error is taking place?

I too am having this problem and I have someone, a code specialist working on it which I am paying for.  I would be happy to split the cost and give you the results if you are so inclined, well that is if the guy can actually find the problem with this script.  I know this sounds cheap but I have put out over 800.00 in specialty coding to create or repair issues with versions to make sure my site runs A OK

I believe I can help you with this.  Are you receiving the same log results as I have listed above?

Are you sure that the posts are making it to AN?  What environment do you have setup...joomla version? windows? hosting company or work servers?

Give me as much info as you can and I think I can help you solve this as I have just been able to do so.

I am using version 1.0.14 RC3 of Joomla and version 1.0.14 virtuemart.

I am unsure how to get the log results as you have, tell me and I will post for you.

I am using J1.5 and VM1.1 so I will try to help.

First, do you have multiple sites pointing to one server?  If so, this could be the problem as it was my issue.  VM uses AIM as opposed to SIM (AIM and SIM have to do with how Authorize.net processes transactions from sites.

We have multiple sites pointing to 1 web server.  To get around our problem we had to give this new site it's own external ip address.  If you have 1 site on 1 server then this is not your problem and we can begin looking elsewhere, but lets narrow it down.
