USPS Shipping method won't display

Hi

I have on my website USPS as the shipping method for the cart, I have entered the information required (username password etc), and enabled it, but when I go through the process of ordering I am presented with 'Please select a Shipping Method!' with nothing to select. 

When I add the 'Standard Shipping Module' and create the various shipping rates and shipper I get the option to choose the shipping method there, but still no option for USPS.

Is it necessary for me to create the shipper and shipping rates even though I have the USPS module set up and active.

I'm confused!!

Any help appriciated and I thank you all in advance.

I am having the same exact issue. I am using the recommended shipping. But when I go to checkout the shipping method doesn't appear. It says please select shipping method.  I am using the Standard Shipping module with indiviual configured carriers and rates. RECOMMENDED ! And I have a rate configured to use USPS.... Please help.....

Hi

I was able to work out why this was happening, I simply needed to fill in the weights for my products.  USPS can't work if  you don't have your weights keyed in.  I totally forgot about this post, I hope this will help anyone else who has the same problem.
