Hello,

I'm checking out this SC to replace one I have running already.  Would like to know if it does what I've come to know as "off-line" CC processing.

This would entail my receiving notice of the order whereby I retrieve the CC#.  I then process it on my CC machine that is already running in my shop.

Can Virtuemart do this?

Now, I receive an email with a part of the CC#, the other part is on the server for me to retrieve.  Nowhere is the CC # stored as a whole.   How does Virtuemart protect CC info (if off-line CC is even an option)

I do NOT want to use a gateway -- I already have a CC processing account with my bank.

Thanks loads,

Greg

See my post http://virtuemart.net/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=71&topic=26388.msg76971#msg76971

Now you can see the whole credit card number and be able to run it on your machine.  I suggest you delete the credit card number once you run it.

I can't even get that far as to get the email... I set the following:

Payment Method Form = Credit Card Name 1

CODE = MAC (just some letters I decided on since it's not supposed to be processed online)

Payment Type = Credit Card

Accepted Credit Card Types = Visa, Mastercard

And when I do a test order and enter in some random numbers, I get:

"Error: The Credit Card Number entered is not valid."

at the next screen. So it's still trying to process this somewhere.

I need the credit card info entered to be emailed to me so I can use my offline processing method.

Thanks.
