How can I change the virtuemart default number of products displayed?

How can I change the virtuemart default number of products displayed in a categorie browse page. The default is 30 per page and the costumer wants only 6.
Any ideas on how to change this. I searched all the options and no sucess..
I tried to change the default quantity in the config_listlimit and nothing hapenned.

You change that in Joomla Global configuration.
Defaults are 5 and multiple of 5 all the way to 50.
There was a post describing how to change these numbers, but you will need to find it.

Tks for your reply, but maybe I didnīt explain myself..
What Iīm looking for is a solution to determin the numbers of products listed when entering a categorie.
Now, when I enter a categorie I see 30 products and the browse.page gets to long for the rest of the content. I need to limit it to 10 or 5 by page.
Can you help me?
PS: I already searched the forum about this subject a found nothing that could solve it. I always start with a search. ;)

This is as Lou Reed has already explained, controlled by Joomal.
On the main configuration page of Joomla you will see an option called list length. This controls how joomla displays lists and that includes VM. Change this setting to 5 and your lists will be changed to 5 in length including the browse page of VM

Is it possible to change or disable the BROWSE title that shows inside a browse page of VM?
