Is it possible to create an order and use the information gathered to contact the shopper? ie an enquiry form using the products listed. I have a client who wants to list products like a catalgue but because of size of the products (hay bales) and the freight costs involved, wants to be able to contact the shopper to discuss freight and other details.

Hello,
you could modify the ps_checkout.php the way, that the order email first ONLY is sent to the store owner. If the mail has reached he can "reply" to the shopper (email address of the shopper is in the mail) and discuss the freight costs.
....?
