I picked USPS and UPS as shipping mods, published them and filled them out, but when I go to checkout it is not showing the shipping... it doesn't show any shipping methods.  It is also adding $2 to the price of an item and I can't figure out where it might be doing that.

Make sure that your accounts with the shipping providers are correct and active and that your server is able to connect and communicate with them. You can turn debugging on to assist with troubleshooting.

The $2 could come from either a tax on the product, the shopper group, or a handling fee on the product. Check your settings.
