I also have the same problem.  I'm using Mambo 4.5.1 (stable) and  mambo-phpShop 1.2 beta3.  Please help!

Hi all,

I had the same problem installing phpShop 1.2 beta 3 on Mambo 4.5.1
(final release).

  To solve it, just increase some variable values in your php config file

Mine looks like:
  max_execution_time = 90 (instead of 30)
  max_input_time = 90 (instead of 60)

  after these modifications, the component succesfully installed.

    Hope this help

Hi charibou

Thanks for your reply.

I tried your fix, but it doesn't work for me.  I tried changing the values to 90, and then 180, but it didn't make any difference.  I still get the same error message.

Does anyone else have a solution, please?

Hello,

I think I must intercept this discussion. What do you think about READING the error message, then trying to get behind why the error arises? Good idea? I'll show you how.

1. Hhm. There's seems to be a missing file. No prob. We take a look into com_phpshop_1.2beta3_for_Mambo_4.5.1.zip -> phpshop.xml.
2. Aha. We find the line
shop_image/availability/index.html
3. If you find the file shop_image/availability/index.html in the zip file there should be no problem. If not, you have two choices.
3a. Either you delete the line (point 2) out of phpshop.xml, Save the file and overwrite it in the archive
3b. OR you add an empty file called index.html into the zip file in the folder shop_image/availability/

4. Now try again.
5. I it doesn't work try uploading the unpacked component zip contents into a directory and then install from that directory.

Easy, he?
ciao, soeren

Hi

Thanks for your assistance, Soeren.  However, I didn't have much luck with your suggested solutions .

I've discovered the problem was my installation of Apache/PHP/MySQL. I switched to the newer  WAMP5 1.3 installer for Apache/PHP/MySQL, which can be found at:

http://www.wampserver.com/en/index.php

After installing the component and module, I had to rename

phpshop.cfg-dist.php
to
phpshop.cfg.php

I added the sample products and phpshop now works fine.

Many thanks again to Joel and Soeren for your help.

I had a hunch that the problem is that the index.html files are 0 bytes. To fix it I did a search on the root folder for all files called index.html, opened those with 0 bytes in a text editor and inserted a carriage return. I attempted a reinstall it worked!
