I have never worked with virtue mart, infact I am very new to Joomla and Virtuemart. But impressed with how well this CMS works. Very Clean!
Question:
Can virtuemart output multiple images for one product? Like a sideview, frontview, backview...you get the idea.
If someone could help me with the code, I could install it in. Any help or direction would be appreciated!

Yes.. you can add additional images for a product in the file manager.
Additionally images can be referenced in the product description, through html or java.

The file manager only lets you upload 1 at a time.

If you want to upload more than 1 at a time yes, it's possible.

Basically Virtuemart creates the relationship between the image files and the products by associating the product ID in the product table with the same value in the imagefiles table.

There is no current automated away to associate multiple images with products that already exist in VM.

However, if you would be patient enough I'm working on an excel spreadsheet that will be able to take the dump of the entire product table and map the location of all your images directly to the product ids generated by Virtuemart.

This is working with the asumption that you have already loaded all your products via CSV and that you have all the paths to your image files in the directory. This is also assuming that your images have the product sku name in a portion of your image file name.

You will have to upload new table entries back into Virtuemart but if you have phpadmin it should be easy.

I hope this makes sense. Hopefully i will get enough time on my hands to finish testing and upload this excel spreadsheet here by the end of this week.

I need the option to swap 2 images with product item selection. I am selling photos with the option to have them mounted on 3 different colors of card, This could be one div. I also have 4 kinds of frames, another div Is there a way to display these image combination's and have the items in the drop down menus trigger the image swap?
