Hi

How do I go about creating a bookstore with virtuemart?
I want there to be entries for Author, Title etc.. But how do i do it? Do i add it to Product attributes? I tried and this didnt work for me.

this person did something similar

http://booksdelight.org/espanol/index.php?option=com_phpshop&page=shop.browse&category_id=3&TreeId=1

Its in spanish, but its a basic idea i would like to replicate.

Thank you to anyone who can help

You can create a product type (e.g. 'book') and add parameters to this (e.g. author, publisher, etc.). Good luck!

I believe that in the link you referenced the information has been added to the short description. Have a read of this thread for some more info on product types http://virtuemart.net/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=71&topic=16241.0

Did you associate the product to the product type?
