Error: "Disable Shipping method selection"

I'm using the final release and Joomla 1.0.4. Clean install.
When I select Disable Shipping method selection I get the following issues:
1. On the checkout->shipping page, I always get the message: "Please select a Shipping Method!" I can't get past it.
2. Errors are appearing at the top of the page (code below). On the shipping page above this causes an XML error in IE6.0.

Maybe you should select another Checkout Style in the tab "Checkout" in the configuration.
